A lot of it feels made for little kids, which is maybe what they wanted, but I personally don't like it.ĭragging units on the battlefield sometimes puts units you don't want or puts them in the wrong order, unless you do it very carefully. Things I don't like (some are just personal preference): Aggro-Midrange-Control triangle works as it should here, for the most part. There are a couple of cards that need to be tweaked, but it's nowhere near what most people think. The fact that you get a second chance with an expedition and that you need to lose 2 in a row.įor a single set of cards, there's a lot of deck variety out there, and I personally feel game is well balanced. This actually makes some of the epic cards seem too weak.

The power level of common and rare (lowest level rarity cards) being quite high. The fact that there are no 'filler' cards. The 'haste' and 'vigilance' for all creatures. Even better is the 'floating' mana for spells. The initiative system they borrowed from Artifact. Riot did a good job with taking a number of ideas from different games and making it work in a digital game. I would say Eternal is actually the closest game to it, but LoR has a more promising future, especially with such a well-known IP behind it. It's not quite as hardcore as Artifact or MTG, but it's not as casual as HS. Overall, I think the game, for what it wants to do, is doing great. Anyway, I just want to share some opinions and see what others think. Lately I've pretty much focused on MTGA since Artifact is in the 'long haul' state indefinitely and Eternal (the last time I've played it) is just not strong enough of a game to keep me interested. So I've played a number of card games over the years, but mainly spent my time with MTG, Artifact, and Eternal.
